It was with deep regret that we learned of the passing of Danae Minifie on the 30th January 2009

Her inclusion on this site is warranted because of her long and distinguished association with
our ship. She was named after and christened on our predecessor the Cruiser HMS Danae.

During our visit to New Zealand in early 1969 the Minifie family renewed their acquaintance with
our ship the 6th Royal Navy ship to bear the name and forged lifelong friendships with the Officers
and Crew

She will be fondly remembered by us all. May she find calm seas and a safe anchorage. R.I.P.
